Philippe Valleix – Chairman
Like his contemporaries, Philippe Valleix is a man of the world. His career has traversed the globe. From the Americas to continental Europe and the Middle East.
Philippe is currently leading the development of several key hotel projects that will showcase the Shaza brand.
His extensive experience in the hospitality industry uniquely combines hotel operations and hotel investment and development. Having started his career with Hyatt in North America, Philippe became the company’s youngest regional food and beverage director, in charge of eleven hotels in Mexico, then its youngest general manager responsible for hotels in New York, Brussels and Rabat, and then was Area Vice President responsible for Western Europe and North Africa.
Philippe was also Vice President of Concorde International, which owned several hotels in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, the United States, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and France. During his tenure at Concorde, he actively participated in the development of properties such as Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires (now Four Seasons), the Hyatt Regency Santiago, a Relais & Chateaux in Carmelo (now a Four Seasons), the Radison in Orlando and the Hyatt Regency Paris Madeleine.
Philippe graduated from Glion Institute, where he was President of the Alumni Association for many years.
